History was made in the match between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders on Friday at Eden Gardens. The skipper of RCB, Virat Kohli scored his first ton in IPL 2019 and registered a comprehensive win for his team by putting on a mammoth total of 213 in 20 overs. He was well supported by Moeen Ali who made 66 runs and got a crucial wicket in the death overs.

However, it was Kohli who really shined through today and after his century, Twitter went crazy praising the run machine for his phenomenal performance. This was also his fifth hundred as a captain in IPL; four of those came in the historic 2016 season. There is simply no comparison to Kohli’s batting talent and today he gave a proof of it once again.

Cricket pundits applaud Kohli’s courageous innings.

After the record-breaking performance, cricket experts and journalists could not resist praising the skipper. IPL’s official handle also tweeted about this special moment, recognizing the immense amount of talent this man possessed.

What followed was a string of appreciation posts from all ends.

Cricket journalist Akash Chopra also lauded the effort of Moeen Ali who put up a superb partnership with Kohli.

Commentator Harsha Bhogle thought the acceleration both the batsmen provided was simply unbelievable.

Our favorite tweet was by AB, who lovingly called his teammate a “little biscuit”

And this tweet just explained it all why Kohli is simply the best in every department:

Kohli’s fans go crazy!

It wasn’t just the cricket gurus who appreciated Kohli for his fantastic effort but all the loyal IPL fans also went berserk after watching him bat in today’s match.

Some also highlighted that Virat is equally capable as a captain too!

But then there are some angry fans too who just have to criticize for no reason!

However, the immense amount of love for his talent didn’t let the minor criticism roll through

Kohli’s today’s performance was nothing short of a super-hero inning for his fans.
