Pakistan batsman, Umar Akmal has a knack of getting into trouble for all the wrong reasons. This time around, he has been fined 20% of his match fee for violating team’s curfew timings to enjoy a concert ahead of 5th ODI against Australia.
Umar Akmal didn’t inform any member of the team management to enjoy a night out in Dubai, which has landed him into hot waters. His video recently surfaced on social media platforms, where he was seen in Akon’s concert. The cricketer pleaded guilty and accepted the sanctions imposed by the management.

Good Bye Umar Akmal?
The 28-year old has also laid to ground his chances of making it to England and Wales for Cricket World Cup 2019 after the incident. The team management has requested the selectors to leave him out of the squad for the mega event. The explosive right-handed batsman made a comeback to the national team after two years but couldn’t perform according to the expectations.
The reason behind his expulsion from the squad was obvious: disciplinary grounds. He has proved, time and again, that his problems with discipline are there to stay, no matter the cost. His brawl with the Head Coach Mickey Arthur kept him out of contention for the national comeback, however, a good PSL combined with coming to terms with the coach provided him a second chance to prove his mettle and book his berth for the cricket’s biggest event.
Despite being bestowed abundant talent, Umar Akmal somehow manages to make the headlines for all the wrong reasons. His most recent controversy has sparked a debate on Twitter, where the cricket lovers are sharing their views on the incident.
A big No No.

If someone knows how to ruin (second) chances, it is Umar Akmal.
Those people that are saying we need a hitter and this role can be fulfilled by Umar Akmal need a reality check. Honestly, the guy is an extreme disappointment and #Pakistan much rather name a 14-man squad for #CWC19 then include him and give others false hope.#PAKvAUS #Cricket
