It has been a breezy ride for South Africa, first they defeated Srilanka in the ODI series by a huge margin of 5-0, now they have a clear lead of 2-0 in the T20 series and are most probably expected to whitewash the opposition by winning the third and final T20 match of the series.

Team News

South Africa

South Africa has been in great shape although they do not have super stars in their squad like AB de Villiers yet each individual has played a great role. Whether it was Imran Tahir, Rabada, Du Plessis or Morris, every player has shined through in the series. The combination is going so well that they will perhaps go unchanged.

Reeza Hendricks will open the innings with Aiden Markram whereas Rassie van der Dussen will appear at number three. In the bowling department, Imran Tahir would be leading from the front coupled with some great performances by Chris Morris and Steyn.

Sri Lanka

For Sri Lanka it has been like a bad dream, everything has gone against them. Their openers have failed to provide to the team a solid start whereas the bowlers also could not strike a chord. Kusal Mendis and Thisara Parera have huge responsibility on their shoulder to win today’s match but considering the past record of the team, recovering back seems like a difficult option.

Captain Malinga has shown disappointing leadership skills and if there is one learning coming out from the series for Sri Lanka, it is to definitely have a captain who is better in control of the situation.

What’s on Twitter?

The Srilankan fans are quite disappointed with the poor display of the team and are desperately hoping for a win today.

Some have just given up their hopes.

Whether SriLanka will be able to win the third T20 or not is still not decided but we really hope they atleast fight hard to earn a good position in the match.
