Indian Premier League is going ahead with full steam, the games are getting competitive every day and new records are being made in every match. Despite such high-level cricket being played at IPL 2019, former Pakistani player, Ramiz Raja is really pissed off at the league and there is a solid reason behind his anger.
Why is Ramiz Raja angry?
Ramiz Raja recently shared a tweet regarding his disdain about IPL 12 where he gave the reason behind it as well.
#IPLT20 Pisses me off when I see coaches taking the lead role in talking to the players in the huddle in the ground when this game is built to be bossed, directed and lead by captain especially when he has entered the 75 meter ground.. that’s his domain.

The 56-year-old former batsman and commentator raised a very valid issue by pointing out extra interference of coaches during ongoing matches.
It was quite evident that he signaled towards Royal Challengers Bangalore’s team management’s interference during the 17th match of IPL. During the match against Kolkata Knight Riders, RCB’s bowling coach Ashish Nehra was seen giving some tips to Tim Southee near the boundary rope. This happened repeatedly during the game which raised many speculations later on. Although RCB lost the match the action of the coaches was criticized and rightfully pointed out by Ramiz too. He did not specifically mention the team or the coach but it was clear that the hint was towards RCB.
Raja also highlighted that it is the role of the captain to lead a side on the field and not of the coaching staff. Virat Kohli’s capability as the captain of RCB has been questioned time and again after the team’s dismal performance this season, however, after the last match concerns are more than ever.
Public response to the incident
It turns out that it wasn’t just Ramiz Raja who disapproved the action but a lot of other people also found it controversial.
Totally agree! What's the point of having a captain then!

Some shared similar incident from the past and described how the captain took the lead in such situations.
when mark taylor took over as australia captain, Bob Simpson was coach ,,,mark held his arm and dragged him back from team huddle and said politely and smartly "I will handle it",

Other fans thought this was just a way for the coaches to show they are doing “something”
Sir they are paid so much atleast they have show they are doing something. Onscreen! 😉
