Update: The closing ceremony is going to be held as planned and all the runors circulated earlier were false.

In a recent development, sources have revealed that there will be no concert held at the closing ceremony of HBL PSL 2019 finale due to the unfortunate terror attack in New Zealand. More than 50 Muslims lost their lives in the mosque attack at Christchurch on Friday. The Bangladeshi team also had a narrow escape, the whole world was shook by this incident and everyone is in a state of mourning.

Amidst such grief the organizers are now thinking to bring a small change and not play any loud music at the closing ceremony instead will go for national anthems.

Shahid Afridi’s appeal

It was boom boom Afridi who came ahead first and expressed his desire that in solidarity with the Muslim community of NewZealand, PSL officials should ensure one-minute silence at the closing ceremony.

Fans also supported Afridi on this stand and tweeted in favor of the decision.

Ace bowler of Lahore Qalandars, Haris Rauf commended the thought.
