Man behind Karachi’s talent hunt
Rashid Latif has been the main driving force when it came to finding raw talent for the kings. Last year he conducted many successful camps all across Sindh to select and groom youngsters of the region.
Rashid has a great knack for identifying talent and through his rigorous camps, he selected quite a few phenomenal individuals. The trail last year was hugely successful, It was an open trial and it catered to more than 20 million people.
The legendary player took a personal interest in the grooming of these amateur cricketers. He trained them at the Rashid Latif Cricket Academy (RLCA). More than 70 players have been trained under his vision.
Karachi Kings’ future
Karachi Kings have not decided who will replace Rashid Latif as Director Cricket but they have a huge void to fill. It won’t be easy to find a man as persistent and as passionate as Rashid so easily.
Kings have not managed to win a single edition of PSL yet but Karachites are hoping this could be their year. We don’t know whether the hopes will be fulfilled or not but the start hasn’t been great for Karachi Kings as Rashid’s resignation is a huge blow.
