Kolkata Knight Riders are amongst the most successful teams of Indian Premier League. Even on the popularity bar the team reigns on a high platform courtesy it’s world-famous owner, Shahrukh Khan. They have a combination of great cricketers including Indian wicketkeeper, Dinesh Kartik, Robin Uthappa, Sunil Narine and many more. And now Kolkata Knight Riders have also revealed their coaching staff for IPL 2019.

Venky Mysore, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the renowned team, took to Twitter and put forth the names of the personnel, who would be working behind the scenes as the team’s support staff.

 

Experienced coaches to take Kolkata forward

Kolkata Knight Riders have roped in a great staff team, led by the veteran South African cricketer, Jack Kallis. Kallis is regarded as one of the greatest cricketers of all time and one of the game’s best all-rounders. He is the only cricketer in the history of the game to score more than 10,000 runs and take over 250 wickets in both ODI and Test match cricket.

Kallis was appointed head coach of Kolkata Knight Riders in October 2015 when head coach Trevor Bayliss resigned to take over as head coach of England in June 2015. Kallis was also the batting consultant of KKR for IPL 2015.

On the other end, Abhishek Nayar would be mentoring the team. The all-rounder has extensive experience with many teams of IPL including Mumbai Indians, Rajasthan Royals, and Kings XI Punjab. This time he will be guiding the young and emerging players of KKR to help them shine.

An explosive lineup

A robust coaching lineup will help out the incredibly talented players of KKR, the owners have bought in a great pool for this year’s edition.

KKR is expecting fireworks from Windies T20I captain – Carlos Brathwaite who has the capacity to change the whole course of the game. New Zealand’s fast bowler Lockie Ferguson, English player Harry Gurney, and South African pacer Anrich Nortje will also be part of the team. Andre Rusell and Chris Lynn will also be adding depth to the squad as they can score crucial runs towards the end.

KKR has begun practice sessions too and coach Jack Kallis is investing a lot of energy and time into his boys to ensure a win for this season. We wish the team good luck!
