IPL 2019: Match 45 - Royals Looking to Push Sunrisers for Playoff Position

Tonight’s match in the IPL 2019 – Rajasthan Royals (RR) vs Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) – is crucial in terms of playoffs qualification. Sunrisers sit in 4th position whereas Rajasthan are ranked 7th. Both teams require a good run of games to ensure qualification for the next phase.

Rajasthan are fresh from their recent victory over Kolkata Knight Riders thanks to heroics from Jofra Archer. However, they will have to make their way forward without Jofra, Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes as both players have left to join England’s team ahead of a series against Pakistan.

Similarly, for Sunrisers, Jonny Bairstow has also departed and it will continue to become tougher for both teams as Australia’s David Warner and Steve Smith will also be leaving next week.

Team News

Butler, Archer and Stokes will no longer take part in IPL as they had to fly back to prepare for series against Pakistan and the upcoming World Cup.

Kane Williamson who had to return to New Zealand due to personal reasons is back. He’s likely to feature in the game as well.
