It’s another weekend and it means a double treat for the Indian Premier League (IPL) fans as there will be two matches today. The first match – Mumbai Indians (MI) vs Rajasthan Royals (RR) – will be played at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
Mumbai Indians are currently placed at third place with 8 points while Rajasthan Royals are lagging at the 7th spot with just 2 points from 6 games. Rajasthan Royals would be hoping for a win today to get back into the fray otherwise they might get to a point of no return.
Table of Contents
Rajasthan Royals have turned in some listless performances this season. Whether its Jos Buttler, Steve Smith or Ben Stokes, none of these huge names have played to the best of their abilities. It might be time to slot in Ashton Turner, the hero for Australia in the India series, in place of either Smith or Stokes. Ajinkya Rahane also needs rest and the team management should give chance to some youngster instead of him.
Mumbai Indians pulled off a thriller of a chase in the last match as Kieron Pollard starred with a blistering 83 run knock. They will be looking to stick to the same combination, however, Rohit Sharma is fit and he will be back captaining the side.
