PSL 2019 welcomes back two Star Players as the race for the title heats up

Alex Hales and Chris Jordan rejoin PSL 4

As PSL 4 is now entering the final stages, the competition is heating up, and amidst all this, two-star players rejoin their Pakistan Super League teams for this year. Alex Hales joins his mates in the Islamabad camp while his International colleague Chris Jordan rejoins the Peshawar Zalmi as PSL welcomes back two of it’s Star Players.

Alex Hales back in Islamabad United

Pakistani fans are in for a treat as Alex Hales, one of the top 10 T20 batsmen, and Chris Jordan, having a fantastic outing for his national side in the Caribbean, return for the knock-out phase in this year’s PSL.

His return was announced in some style by Islamabad:

Hales comes in place of his fellow Englishman Ian Bell, who only played one fixture for Islamabad before getting injured.

“We have seen exciting cricket at the HBL PSL this year and Islamabad United has put in some excellent performances. I am delighted to be back with Islamabad United for this year’s PSL and I can’t wait to play in front of our passionate fans,” Hales said.

“I look forward to joining the squad and I hope that I can help the team lift the trophy once again.”

Hales represented Islamabad last season in 4 matches and his addition to the squad will be very welcoming.

Chris Jordan rejoins Peshawar Zalmi

Chris Jordan, on the other hand, did not feature in any of the Zalmi’s matches before he departed midway for the tour of Caribbean.

He enjoyed a very successful time there, picking up six wickets at an economy of 5.14 over the course of three matches and was named the man of the series as well.

He will surely be a great addition to the already strong Peshawar line-up which is on top of the PSL points table, and his current form indicates that he will play a part when Peshawar square off against the Gladiators.

Now, that the qualifiers and eliminators are starting, who do you think has a better chance to lift this year’s PSL trophy? Let us know in the comments.
